I am a New York State licensed clinical social worker with 25 years of professional work
experience. I have worked in multiple settings providing mental health services for
adults and children, assisting clients with their concerns such as stress and anxiety,
relationship issues, trauma and abuse, and depression. I believe that you are the expert
on your story and have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming stressors that
are challenging and overwhelming.
The first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage.
I am here to support you in that process.
The second step, I believe, also takes courage as you open yourself to the possibilities
of positive change and healing. During this time, I will provide a safe, nonjudgemental,
and person-centered space as you explore the narrative of your story. My eclectic
approach is from psychodynamic, humanistic, and relational therapeutic modalities.
I use strategies from various styles of psychotherapy—such as cognitive-behavioral
therapy, mindfulness practices, and a positive strengths-based approach.
As a therapist, I will join you on your journey so that you might attain a deeper sense of
wellness, strength, and freedom. My goal is to provide support, and guidance, deepen
your self-awareness, identify your strengths, and develop coping techniques so that you
are better able to manage life challenges and transitions. Sessions are currently offered
in the office or via teletherapy.
