I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, working with adults age 18+. I have a special interest in clients who may be facing challenging adjustments in life or struggling with profound loss, whether it is related to school, career, illness, relationships or the death of a loved one. Working with elements from a variety of therapeutic approaches--including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing and trauma-informed therapy—I meet my clients where they are, to find obstacles to joy and happiness from current stress, or that may have roots in past adverse experiences and trauma. I also incorporate basic somatic awareness and breath work, tools that may help calm anxiety and release tension.
Because I believe in a whole-person perspective, you can expect questions from me about what you eat and drink, how you sleep, leisure
and creative pursuits you enjoy, and your spiritual (or philosophical) beliefs. How might your physical health habits be influencing your mental health? What sustains you and makes life worth living?
Or, what used to sustain or fulfill you that may have gone missing along the way?
I have a curious mind and am dedicated to life-long learning in professional and personal life. I earned my Master of Social Work Degree from Binghamton University, and I have several years of
clinical experience in Mental Health and Hospice. I support your self-empowerment and self-determination as we work together toward improved mental health, and I look forward to earning your
trust.
